Gearing up for a new season!

Glenn is getting the truck ready for the next racing season.  The plans right now are to run a limited schedule for the 2004 season.  Should be fun year with the new clay on the track and Denny now at the helm of the Butler Battlegrounds!!

Special thanks to Kevin Butters!

Thanks to Kevin Butters for the use of his engine for the season ending race!  The engine ran great and capped off a great season!

2nd place finish for the year!

Glenn has finished 2nd place in the overall point standings this year at Butler Motor Speedway.  Not a bad finish out of the 38 cars registered for the points race.  A special thanks to all of the sponsors that have made this year such a success.

Special thanks to Chuck Ewing!

The Heath Racing Team would like to say a big THANK YOU to Street Stock driver Chuck Ewing for the use of his car last weekend!  Due to the severe damage suffered on the truck the truck was not ready to race and Chuck was nice enough to let us use his car.  It's not often that you can find another race car driver willing to let someone else drive their car.  It's nice to have a great person like Chuck around at the track!  Thanks again!

2nd place finish

Glenn was able to put things back together after a couple of bad weeks to finish 2nd in the feature.  He took 4th in the heat race.  Next weekend will be another regular show at Butler.

4th place finish in feature

On Saturday night Glenn had some engine problems but was able to finish the race.  He finished in the 4th position behind Jamie Campbell, Randy Nichols and Eric Wilson.  Glenn took a 3rd place finish in the heat racing action.

String of 2nd place finishes continues
The Heath and Wilson battle continues

Mother nature finally gave us a break and gave us some sunshine for this weeks racing.  Glenn started the evening 10 points ahead of Eric Wilson in the season point standings and finished in second place in the heat just ahead of Wilson.  In the feature evening there was no luck as Glenn drew a 16th place starting position.  Glenn was able to work his was up to the second position where he finished just behind Wilson.  This leaves Glenn and Wilson tied for the points lead.  There have been four features for the Street Stocks this season and Glenn and Eric have won every one of them.

Glenn takes 2nd in heat and 2nd in feature
Still holds points lead

Glenn started the night with a 2nd place finish in the heat race and finished off the night with a 2nd place finish in the feature.  Glenn started the night toward the back of the field as a new rule was implemented after Glenn won the first two features of the year that states if you win the feature you have to start in at least 10 place in the next weeks feature.  Seems that I remember other people that have won more than two features in a row and the rules weren't changed.  Glenn went over the banking on the track during the feature that put him near the back of the field but he was able to work his way to the finish second.  This Saturday night will be another regular show at Butler.

4 for 4!!
Glenn takes heat and feature again

On Saturday night Glenn took his heat race and feature again beating out Eric Wilson.  Wilson tried everything he could but still couldn't make it to the lead.  Glenn would like to thank all of his sponsors for their help.  The sponsors include Irvin's Hardware & Auto, Miller Brothers Manufacturing, MCS Industries Steel Products Inc, Hopkins Construction, SCM Pole Buildings, Shoreline Realtors - John Heath and O'Neil Signs.

Glenn takes opening night heat & feature!

After some minor glitches preparing for the season it appears that all of the problems have been worked out. Glenn was fastest car in time trials beating out 31 other cars.  He also took the heat race and the feature on the opening night of racing. The night was the first for the Street Stocks and next week will be a full schedule for Street Stocks, Sprints and Late Models.
